Platte County School District recognizes the importance of community input to help set the future direction of our schools.
We are kicking off our second year of the PCR-3 Community Advisory to gather volunteers who will have an ongoing role to review the District’s progress toward its Comprehensive Strategic Improvement Plan (CSIP) goals, as well as to provide input regarding the District's general operation and specific issues impacting education activities and programs.
This group will review, discuss, monitor, and advise on a variety of topics including the academic calendar, long-range facility plan, fraud and audit, safety and security, school district policy, early learning, technology, equity and inclusion, character education, health and wellness, and additional topics requested by the Board of Education. The group will meet quarterly, or more regularly as needed, to complete specific tasks.
Any District resident, employee, or student may participate in the ongoing work of this group. We have reached out to existing members about continuing their participation and are now opening membership up to new members.
If interested in serving on this advisory, please complete the application linked here by September 12. The first General Membership meeting will be held September 28.
Information regarding meeting dates and committee progress will be shared via the District website and the monthly e-Treasures newsletter.
